the gammalab
As the search for innovation in my fantasy sports brand continues,I thought of some more changes observing the style trends and being inspired by some modern kits and of course my imagination. So I created the gammalab,a fantasy laboratory where I will produce my future designs.
So,firstly,my inspirations came from :
designer a-equix
designer angelotrofa
nike
puma
kappa
designer aitor throup
the changes are :
no directly visible logo of the brand and sponsor. They are produced of a nano-material that through the game and as the sweat of the player increases they will react in order to be more visible through out the match.
new number fonts
upper side of the shirt will be thinner, covered with small openings-dots in order to make the shirt more elastic
the team badge a little smaller and a little higher
a little design trick,at the end of each sleeve,a turnable piece of fabric that makes color difference.
below,an Italy kit,the first out of gammalab.And the search,continues....

Gamma future philosophy
Through my personal fantasy sports brand,Gamma,I was trying to understand, guess i'd say better the future of sports apparell, considering the absence of new ideas as viewing the latest designs of the majority of football brands designs.
Adidas is a bit confused with the three stripes that must always be there in a design,a bit boring repetition personally,Nike is trying better doing a swift in simplier designs.
My effort came as i took inspiration of some Puma and Kappa designs. The tightness of their shirts that make the athletic bodies of the players become more visible and therefore expressing the athleticism of the modern game, the badges that are a bit higher,we see this also in basketball shirts lately. The tightness and lightness of baselayers that help the body feel warm and leaving it to move like they are a second skin on it.
So,i began a project, called G10 project-out of the name of my new, tight shirt template,I made the badges a bit larger, placed them a bit higher,I took the gamma logo away from the front of the kit and placed it in the sleeves,so the shirt to be more original let's say,to have an old vintage look like the days that everyone new the specific kit of his team without even having a badge. The template is basically a lot like a baselayer and the emphasis of design goes more on fonts rather than various brainstormed designs that through antagonism could make the eye dizzy. So i chose the simple default designs that almost everybody know, simple stripes, horizontal and vertical and some colorised parts of the shirt to express the simple.Colors on fabric that make teams be known at at once.Like the old days.In some teams I tottally avoided the known patterns like for example Inter's stripes,Boca's central thick line etc.Just clear color combinations in order to be creative.I avoided many stripes on shorts or socks just to show the pure simplicity and minimalism that i think will be the future of football kits.
Bellow,an Inter kits' combo with a simplified stripe presentation just to avoid the ordinary and promote out of the box thinking.
